Gladiator Heels

Yesterday I wrote about my navy blue dress I wore out in the morning here, and today, my lunch outfit from the same day!

The hubby invited me out for lunch that day, so I took advantage of it and made sure to pull out some heels. I’ve been meaning to wear these for a while now, since I’ve yet to wear them this summer, and worked my outfit around them. I felt this skater skirt worked great with it because the flirty-ness of the skirt toned down the edgy-ness of the shoes. Had I worn these with something tighter, it would give off a whole different look. A more “night-time” look ;)

You’ve seen this skirt previously here styled for a late winter/early spring day, and here is a variation of how you can style it for summer!

Do you own any gladiator sandals? Better yet, how do you feel about this trend? I love to know!! Have a wonderful day and stay classy!

Juice Cleanse; Final Review

Ladies & gents, I’ve made it! My DIY; 3-day juice cleanse is finally over and I can eat some real food! :P

So, what did I think about this whole cleanse?? Honestly, as I mentioned here, the first day was hard. I had headaches and felt weak and was tired all day. I just wanted to go to sleep that night so it could all be over. I was actually quite close to just saying “F this, I’m done. 1 day is enough”, but then I thought that it’s too easy to give up, and I was far from giving up!

I’m so happy I didn’t! The next morning I woke up quite refreshed and not feeling anywhere near as down as I felt the other day. I was actually quite ready to continue with this juicing thing! And the juices were becoming considerably tasty on my pallet ;) The whole 2nd day was fine, until I had to make supper for the girls…oh, that sweet, sweet smell of home-made tomato sauce for their spaghetti, as per request, was getting to me. But, I quickly turned my head away, drank my green juice, and all was good!! Until the hubby came home and said “Why? Why would you make this when I can’t eat it?” Sorry, my love :)

Day 3! Even better then the 2nd! Energetic, not longing for food (ok, that’s a lie. I’m always longing for food. I’ll be eating breakfast and thinking about what’s for lunch), and I actually felt like getting up and working out. Best part? I found the juices tasted even better (except for the beet one. Better, yes. Tasty? Mmm…I can do without :P)! It’s great because now I have some go-to juices I can make on the daily for snacks in-between meals!

All in all, I actually enjoyed it. I’m not saying I loved not eating, no no, but, it does the body good!! You’re getting so many nutrients from all these different juices that I find it really is a good thing to do a juice cleanse once in a while. I will be continuing to [try] and juice daily, along with clean eating (still working on that 6-pack!) and will definitely be doing another juice cleanse soon.

Thank you dear Realists for joining me on my first journey of juice cleansing! I hope that some of you will be interested and try it out yourselves, that’s if you haven’t already. Now if you’ll excuse me, I shall go indulge in a nice large slice of chocolate cake!…ok, that’s a lie…cheesecake…I hate chocolate ;)

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend! Stay Classy!

Grand-parents’ 50th anniversary

This past Saturday was a big deal for our family. It was my grand-parents’ 50th anniversary! 50 years together. I think “Wow!”, and then I remember “Oh right, I’m married too and will be making that mark one day as well…” This August is my 5th anniversary (woohoo!) Another 45 years to go ;)

To help celebrate this wonderful occasion, we all decided to throw them a surprise party at this awesome Greek restaurant called Mythos. My grand-parents are as Greek as they come, so to know that they would enjoy eating/dancing here was a given!

Now, any reason for me to dress up is a good reason, although  I like to believe that you don’t really “need” a reason, per se. So, with the weather really warming up in Montreal, I had the pleasure of pulling out this beautiful maxi dress that I’m absolutely in love with. Everything from the colors, to the way it fits, down to the draped fabric on the right side. Also, for this special occasion, I felt that it was a perfect time to pull out my wedding shoes. I try to wear these sexy babies as often as I can!

On another note, I’ll be leaving for Sin City tomorrow. Yes, Las Vegas, baby! I’m so excited for this trip because I’ll be spending it with some of my cousins, and I’ve yet to go to Vegas with only girls. I’ll be sure to continue with my posts, so make sure to tune in and read all about my vacation in Vegas!

You don’t need me to remind you, stay classy, realists!

A Stylist’s Style

Happy Monday! As I mentioned in a previous post, yesterday I had the opportunity to take part in a photo shoot for a couple of friends’ album launch. Like I explained in my “About Me” section, I’m a fashion designer turned stylist. I do still enjoy making clothing at home for myself, children, and close family and friends, but there’s something about being able to dress someone in clothing they wouldn’t normally choose for themselves! I love making people think outside of the box;) I had so much fun on set yesterday, and can’t wait for the next one!

Now, I also brought up about how I would be posting pictures for all of you to see, but as per the musical artists’ requests, I will be post-poning any pictures on set until they have publicized their own first. So, for now, I give you the outfit I wore that day!

A simple, yet still fun, outfit that is not restraining when needing to make sure the boys looked perfect! Yes, it’s those pants again…and the blazer…I know, it looks like I literally only own 1 pair of pants, but these are so comfy and perfect, that I can’t not always find an excuse to pull them out! I swear, I have a vast selection of jeans, I just really like these ;) As for the blazer, same goes with that! I know you all have those favorite items you can’t stop yourself from wearing :P

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, realists. Tomorrow, I will be posting about this beautiful dress I had the pleasure of wearing to my grand-parent’s 50th anniversary, so make sure to check in! And stay classy!
