Pop of Pink

As much as I’m not a fan of pink (I can count on one hand using only 3 fingers the amount of pink pieces I own), I’m so in love with these pink suede heels. I think it’s the metal heel that drew me to them to begin with. That, and the hubby chose them out ;)

Last night we had a family supper, and to compliment the overall neutralness of my outfit, I paired together these heels. As I was sitting there debating between these pink heels and my red ankle strap heels (here & here) I obviously went with the pink. A pointy toed heel elongates your legs, and I was in the mood for some “elongating” ;)

Just picked up this shirt from Zara (I swear, slowly my whole wardrobe will be only Zara!) and I’m loving it! So soft and the fit is amazing!

My pink suede shoes

Mondays & Tuesdays, I usually pick up the girls from daycare and spend supper at my parents’ house. A little thought; when you first move out of the house you grew up in, to go live on your own, most of us want to get as far away from our parents as we can. Trust me, when you have kids, it’s almost the complete opposite. You WANT to be close to parents! Going over there is like a mini vacation.  You could just sit back while they do all the work. Thanks, Mommy & Papa ;)

Now, getting back to where this whole post started. When it’s winter, I almost don’t care what I wear when heading over there. I mean, who’s going to see and judge me? But during the summer, I finally get the chance to pull out all my cute clothes and shoes, so any chance I get to sport them out of the house, I take it!!

This top was a last minute grab while heading to the cash at the DKNY in Woodbury. I didn’t try it on. We were all tired, wet (was raining all day :() and just wanted to get out of there and head back home. I’m so happy I decided to pick it up! One wear, and I’m pretty sure this will now become my go-to tank top. So comfy, love the color, and fits perfect! And these shoes…how can you turn your back on a sweet pair of pink suede shoes with metal heels. The cherry on top? The tiny insert of faux-croc on the heel of the shoe. Love! I thank the hubby for finding these among the many women ripping through the shoe boxes at Neiman Marcus; Last Call.
