My Little Fashionistas

Hello, Realists! Hope you’re all doing/feeling better than I am. I’ve been feeling a little under-the-weather these past few days, hence the reason why I wasn’t around yesterday. I’m still not in any shape to want to take pictures, so I figured it’s a great moment for me to start a new category on the blog called ‘Stylish Little Ones’.

As much as I try to put my little girls’ outfits together in the morning, for the most part, I somehow get tossed to the side while they scramble through looking for the perfect outfit. There are definitely times where I look at them and say “Oh, yes, so cute, but maybe this top would look better?” And then there are those other moments, which let me tell you, come quite often, where I just look at them and think “Wow! You really are your mother’s daughter!” Today being one of those days.

I don’t like to tell them what they “should” wear, but like any parent who’s into fashion, I do like to explain why some items don’t work with others. On this morning, I personally found they nailed it! I mean, I’m their mom, I think they would look beautiful in a burlap sack. So, rather than put you guys through torture and have to see me with red, puffy, eyes, and probably be able to hear me cough through the pictures, here’s my little ones in their OOTD ;)

Have a lovely day, Realists, and stay classy!

P.s. As you’ll see on the older one, she’s completely decked out in Joe Fresh. One of my favorite places to shop for children. Such cute clothing at reasonable prices! If you’ve yet to check it out, please do yourself a favour and go! :)

Movie Night

Last night, the hubby and I had the pleasure of going out to watch a movie. We decided on watching The Great Gatsby, and let me tell you, what a FANTASTIC movie!! From the choice of songs to the style of filming, and of course, one of my favorite periods of time, The Roaring Twenties!!! Also, who doesn’t love a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio? One of my favorite actors out there. But all in all, an amazing film that I would suggest to anyone, and one that has made its way onto my favorite movie list!

Besides the awesome feature, I had to dress up to go there (Oh, how wonderful it would be if we could just walk around naked all the time!). We haven’t had a date in a while, so I chose to dress up, without actually dressing up.

A simple outfit turned interesting with just a choice of heels and some added jewellery. I’ve been dying to have an excuse to wear these heels again (the last time I wore them was here), so this was the perfect chance! A nice pair of comfy trousers, a simple, bright colored pullover, spiced up with some sexy heels and fancy bracelets! My kind of outfit ;)

Hope you all had a lovely hump-day yesterday! The weekend’s just around the corner. Stay classy!

3 Outfits for a Chilly/Rainy F1 Weekend

This weekend in Montreal, it’s all about the F1 Canadian Grand Prix. Race car drivers have been circling the laps of our Circuit Gilles Villeneuve  race track since 1978, so you can say to us Montrealers, it’s basically become a holiday. The streets are full of fancy cars, our top restaurants are booked way in advance, the clubs are popping with partiers galore, and of course, there are beautiful women everywhere.

The weather is usually quite fair, but this weekend we are experiencing some chillier than usual air. There is also some spurts of rain throughout the days, but that doesn’t stop us from being able to enjoy this once-a-year racing extravaganza. It also doesn’t prevent us stylish Montrealers to dress to impress! Here, I’ve featured 3 different ensembles that’s suitable for the weather, as well as the occasion. 1st, we have the casual day outfit, 2nd, the racing outfit, and 3rd, the night time outfit!

Will you be joining in on the F1 festivities? If so, are you a local or visiting? And if you’re visiting, is this your first experience? Clearly, I love to ask questions, which means I love to hear your thoughts and comments!!

Have a wonderful Friday, and amazing weekend. Stay classy and race on!

Color-block shoes

So, it’s finally come! My final purchase from my wonderful trip to Vegas! What is it?? What else but another pair of shoes!! *sigh* My vice. I think it’s a good thing, my wallet, however, thinks otherwise ;)

What drew me to these shoes, I believe, is quite obvious. That pop of orange on the heel is just perfect! I’m a huge fan of color-blocking, and the orange against the black made me fall in love instantly. They’re so simple with the single beige strap on the front, as well as not having a platform. I used to HATE, yes HATE heels that were completely opened. Basically, like these ones, but I’ve come to embrace my feet and enjoy wearing sandals like so! Anybody else feel the same way as me?

Now, as mentioned yesterday, the hubby and I will be leaving for New York tomorrow (woohoo!), and just as I was posting for Vegas, I will be keeping up the posts with New York as well! My wonderful uncle will be bringing me a lens today to replace my broken one, which means I’ll be using a real camera and not an iPhone (yay!)! Also, if there are any suggestions on what we should do/eat/where to shop, please let me know! As I always mention, I love to hear from you! Continue to stay classy, realists ;)

008 019 Side-note, I’m so happy that I’m able to fit back into these jeans!! Haven’t been able to wear them “properly” since almost 4 years ago! (Yes, I still love my jeans 4 years later ;))024 026 028Had to post this. Was trying to take pictures to then turn around and see the girls pulling dandelions out of the ground.

My new indigo babies

As mentioned in a previous post, I had bought a few new items while on my Vegas vacation and can’t wait to show them to you! I didn’t shop too much, but the few items I did purchase are perfect additions to my closet. I thought I would start it off by sporting my brand new Brian Atwood babies!!!

My first pair of Brian Atwood‘s and I’m in love!! He’s such an awesome designer making such beautiful shoes and I can’t get enough of the styles he puts out. Looking at these to-die-for shoes, you can only imagine why I fell in love instantly and knew that I had to have them ;)

I decided to show these off with an all white outfit so that the indigo color could pop. I also kept it all very simple with no jewellery and a light pink gloss. Besides the beauties on my feet, I love the faux-leather detailing on the pockets (and the waistband, not shown) of the shorts. It’s those subtle touches that make a piece of clothing stand out!

Well, realists, it’s Friday!! Hope you’ll have a lovely weekend and continue to stay classy!

Sin City; The end.

Hello realists! Excuse me for being on hiatus for a few days, but I am now back home in Montreal from my trip to Vegas. I showed you what I was up to the first couple of days, and today I have a few more shots from the remainder of my stay there.

I’ve never taken so many pictures of food. I’m usually not one for that, but it just looked too good to not! I’ve got some pictures of our meal from the always awesome restaurant Sushi Samba, as well as a few shots from our second Diner’s, Drive-In’s & Dive’s spot Lola’s. Thrown in there are a few outfit pictures ;)

I’ll be back tomorrow with regular posting. Can’t wait to show you some of my new purchases from the trip! Stay tuned, and stay classy!

Sin City; Day 2, shopping, eating & girls night

Yesterday was a beautiful day full of shopping, eating, and then a night out.

Our first stop was at the Premium Outlets Las Vegas. They’ve got so many great stores there, I just can’t contain myself!! Although, I was a very good girl and didn’t over shop! (It’s also because my luggage was already too full so I couldn’t really fit much more in there :P) I did get to score some awesome deals at a couple of stores and will definitely be showing them off as soon as I get the chance!

After shopping, we all had our first DDD experience (Diners, Drive-in’s, & Dive’s) at a little restaurant called Bachi Burger. SOOOOO GOOD!! Guy Fieri wasn’t lying to us when he said that everyone had to try this place! The food was excellent, the sangria was sake instead of wine, and the prices were great!! Hands down one of the cheapest meals I’ve eaten in Vegas so far, so that’s always great! ;)

After, once again, having to be rolled out of the restaurant because we, once again, stuffed our faces full of food, we came back to the hotel and just hung out at the room and got ready for our first clubbing experience in Vegas at a little place called Surrender. One of us girls has already done the clubbing thing lots of times in Vegas, but she has yet to go to this specific spot. Held at the Wynn, during the day it’s a pool area, and at night, turned club. Absolutely gorgeous, and HUGE! Only Vegas would have such grand clubs like these! We were there to see the UK duo Nero. Amazing set! I’m a huge fan so I was so stoked to be seeing them.

There are not too many pictures from yesterday because we were so busy running around, but I did manage to snap a few. Stay tuned for more stories of my adventure, and also, stay classy!

Sin City; Day 1, strolling the strip

Hello realists!! Vegas is treating me great so far! The food is wonderful, the weather is perfect, and I’m up on roulette!!! ;) Oh, how I love this wonderful city!!

Yesterday, we were waiting for the 4th member of our crew to fly in at night, so we took it easy by just strolling the strip and making our way to Bacchanal, the buffet at Caesars Palace. A little pricier than your typical buffet, but the food is far from typical! Freshly shucked oysters, jumbo cocktail shrimp, sushi (and good sushi, not the usual “don’t eat that” sushi you’ll find at buffets), and a dessert table that will literally make you gain a few pounds just by looking at it!

After needing to all be rolled out of there, we made a quick stop at Fashion Show Mall. I was able to snag a beautiful pair of Brian Atwood heels from Neiman Marcus for half price! I’ve mentioned it before, and I’ll say it again, I love sales!! :) (I was also very happy that I was able to win back most of my shoe money on roulette at night!) After being high from this wonderful purchase, we made our way back to our hotel for some pool time.

Now, amongst all this pleasant talk, I have some bad news. Somewhere, somehow, along our walk, the lens’ on my camera broke…how, I have no clue! One minute I’m taking pictures, the next, the strangest noise was coming out of it! We passed by a camera shop along the trip back, and the guy there told me that my lens was broken. And just like good ol’ Vegas hospitality, he tried very hard to sell me a new one…no thank you, I just spent my money on some sexy heels. Shitty, yes, so now you’ll have to view my trip through my trusty IPhone. Not a dslr, but can definitely take some good pictures under the right circumstances ;)

Besides the camera incident, everything is great! Here are a few pics of my strolling outfit, accompanied by some group/scenery shots. Enjoy, and stay classy!!

Vegas Flight Attire

Vegas! Woohoo! So excited to be in this energetic, and hot, city! This is not my first time here, nor my last, but it’s my first time spending it with only girls! (This will get interesting ;)) So, as promised, I will keep up with my posting ( I know I missed yesterday’s, but it was quite hectic!), and here’s my first outfit/story that started in Montreal, and ended in Vegas!

The past few times that I’ve flown for more than an hour, I’ve always worn the typical flight ensemble; tights, a tee, and a sweater for when it gets chilly. I already am not a huge fan of flying, so getting dressed up for it was never thought of, until this flight! Now, I didn’t “dress up”, but I did settle on wearing this simple, black, maxi dress, accompanied by my trusty turquoise blazer.

This maxi dress is perfect in the sense that it cost me, drumroll, $13!!! As I was strolling through the mall the other day, preparing for the photo shoot I just took part in, I strolled past none other than Sirens and saw this dress hanging there with the price card “$13”. I haven’t walked into a Sirens in yeeeaaaaaars, but I thought “What’s the shame in trying it?” Good thing I did!! Fits perfect, love a racer-back and v-neck anything, and it’s comfy! Score!

First day was just mostly us hanging poolside, so not many pictures to show, but I will definitely be bringing you some! Keep reading, and stay classy!

P.s. These pictures are not the best, please forgive me, but they will get better! I’ll make sure to get somewhere (outside ;)) with better lighting! :)

Grand-parents’ 50th anniversary

This past Saturday was a big deal for our family. It was my grand-parents’ 50th anniversary! 50 years together. I think “Wow!”, and then I remember “Oh right, I’m married too and will be making that mark one day as well…” This August is my 5th anniversary (woohoo!) Another 45 years to go ;)

To help celebrate this wonderful occasion, we all decided to throw them a surprise party at this awesome Greek restaurant called Mythos. My grand-parents are as Greek as they come, so to know that they would enjoy eating/dancing here was a given!

Now, any reason for me to dress up is a good reason, although  I like to believe that you don’t really “need” a reason, per se. So, with the weather really warming up in Montreal, I had the pleasure of pulling out this beautiful maxi dress that I’m absolutely in love with. Everything from the colors, to the way it fits, down to the draped fabric on the right side. Also, for this special occasion, I felt that it was a perfect time to pull out my wedding shoes. I try to wear these sexy babies as often as I can!

On another note, I’ll be leaving for Sin City tomorrow. Yes, Las Vegas, baby! I’m so excited for this trip because I’ll be spending it with some of my cousins, and I’ve yet to go to Vegas with only girls. I’ll be sure to continue with my posts, so make sure to tune in and read all about my vacation in Vegas!

You don’t need me to remind you, stay classy, realists!
