Denim Shorts

Hello Realists!! Excuse me for my 3-day weekend. Yesterday was a holiday for most here in Montreal, as it was St. Jean Baptiste, so I took advantage of the beautiful weather we had earlier in the day (luckily I made it home before the thunder-showers began) and enjoyed a nice picnic with my girls, sister and uncle.

It’s so nice to wake up in the morning and not have to leave with a sweater on. I can finally stash away all of our winter clothing and make more room for dresses and shorts ;) Speaking of shorts, as I’ve mentioned in a post here, they’re really my go to item for the hot weather. So, seeing as how denim shorts are being seen all over this summer, I’ve put together a little collage of a few shorts I wouldn’t mind adding to my collection.

The great thing about denim shorts is that they can easily be dressed up or down, depending on the event. A killer pair of heels and a dressy top, or some Converse and a muscle tee, they’re so versatile that everyone should own at least one pair! Another great thing about denim shorts? They don’t always have to be the typical blue. Branch out and go shopping for some fun, colorful denim!

How do you feel about denim shorts? Or shorts in general? You know me, I do love to hear your thoughts! Hope you all had a lovely weekend and Monday. Stay Classy!

Flatforms; Yes or No?

There’s a shoe trend going on right now as I’m writing this post that I’m not sure how I feel about. Flatforms. A one-height wedged shoe. Not sure if love it or hate it. Wedges, yes. Heels with a platform, definitely yes. Flatforms?? I’m still on the edge about them. Personally, I need a little arch on my shoes. Sexier looking? I would like to think so. More comfortable? I think my shoes with platforms are extremely comfortable, and I’m sure flatforms are as well. I just…I just don’t know.

As I was searching for some different styles, I did come across a few that I thought were cute. I put together a collage of flatforms trying to find the ones that I liked the most, but I’m not guaranteeing that they’re all to my flavour.

What are your takes on flatforms? Do you go running to them, or away from them? I am always eager to hear what you guys think, so don’t be shy and let me know! :) Stay classy, realists!

Raise your hats!

It’s hat day at the girls’ daycare, which got me inspired to write a post about none other than hats!!

I love when the daycare has fun days like this. Not only for the kids, but also for myself because then I get to pull out their cutest hats knowing that they get to walk around all day in them and take pictures. *sigh* I’m such a mom. I myself, admire a great hat. Back in my teenage days, I wore hats all the time! Baseball caps, beanies, fedoras, you name it, I owned it! Only recently I’ve fallen off of that trail and worried more about “hat hair”. As result of the daycare having this day, it made me ponder about the good ol’ days and make me want to jump back on the hat bandwagon! That wagon I shall join!! I’ve been admiring so many different styles that I can’t wait to go out shopping for some special pieces to accommodate my wardrobe. Do any of you value a great hat?? If so, what types? Would love to hear what your thoughts are.

Until then, here are some picks I’ve chosen that I myself fancy. Hope you adore them as much as I do!Raise your hats!

Emma cable pom-pom beanie, $12 / Hermès felt hat, $710 / Lucky Brand hat, $51 / BOY London snapbacks hat, $61 / Emilio Pucci, $370 / Oasis knit hat, $12 /  BCBG Max Azria, $49 / Studs snap back hat, $76 / Helene Berman glitter hat, $150
