Target has finally opened up in Montreal, which means it now only takes me 5 minutes to get to one, rather than taking a little over an hour as well as having to cross the border. If you’re a fan of Target, than you can feel the happiness I, as well as many other Montrealers, have with this new addition to our city.
The 3.1 Phillip Lim collection for Target had launched a couple of days before the stores opened up here, which made it even more exciting. As much as I didn’t want to attend a grand opening of Target, I did want to try and snag anything left of the collection. Luckily, I went on the 2nd day (I know, still sounds crazy), but really not that bad!! All the cashes were opened, which made the line go pretty quick, and I luckily found 2 shirts to add to my closet. Today, shirt #1. A blue, sheer back tank, that instantly called my name. The loose fit and long back are two characteristics I love most in a top, and for $20, you can’t go wrong!
Realists, did any of you take a chance to look at the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection for Target? Any purchases made?
Happy hump day and stay classy!
Here you can really see the contrast between the cotton front and mesh back. Also, how cute is that bow ring? Found it on the 2-for-1 wall at Aldo :)

Now, I know I mentioned in yesterdays post here that I would be featuring my newly purchased plaid shirt today, but I lied. Only a little, so hear me out. As I was sitting here writing my post for today, I couldn’t stop thinking about the multiple outfits I could put together using only one shirt. I then thought it best that instead of giving you one outfit, I’ll give you one a day, for a week! So starting Monday, I’ll be posting a new ‘Week of Style’ featuring the aforementioned plaid shirt :)
Until then, I’ve really been wanting to show you Realists these new heels I picked up for a ridiculous price. Long story short, I’ve been eyeing these Rachel Zoe heels from Winners since I first saw them hit the racks. Original price: $400, Winners: $200. Now, as much as I loved them I couldn’t just drop $200 on a pair of shoes right now. Let me cut to the chase, saw them on sale a couple of weeks ago for, *drum-roll* $40!! Yes, $40 for a pair of heels that was originally $400. Amazing, I know. And the last in my size! Obviously, we were meant to be ;)
I love finding great sales, I mean, who doesn’t. Would love to hear any amazing sales you’ve ever been so lucky to come across! Stay tuned Monday for the start of a ‘Week of Style; Plaid shirt’. Have a wonderful weekend, and stay classy!

It’s no secret that the 90’s has made a comeback in fashion the past few months, and following months as well. With crop tops being seen everywhere, grungy styles, flatforms/platforms, shirts/sweaters/anything that has sleeves wrapped around our waists, and I can go on and on mentioning the many influences being seen on the streets, in magazines, and websites galore.
The one 90’s trend I’m posting about today is plaid. A print that was first introduced at the end of the 16th century, then later popularized in the 60’s, huge in the 90’s, and now back in the…well, 2013.
You can find plaid shirts, pants, bags, scarves, etc. Looking for a specific item in plaid? I guarantee you can find it somewhere, somehow. Here I put together a few different items that sport the particular pattern, and pieces that I fancy. I actually purchased my first (that’s a lie. I owned a couple of plaid shirts way back when while sitting on my bed listening to none other than Nirvana…ok, and BSB….that’s right, BSB over Nsync anyday!), plaid shirt since forever ago and will happily be featuring it tomorrow! For today, hope you enjoy the chosen items seen below!
Are you a fan? Not so much? Own an item, or two, or three, of the mentioned pattern? Do tell! Have a wonderful day, and stay classy!
P.s. How awesome is that plaid bra?? Worn under a muscle tee, with a little peek of the print = hot! And I need those jeans in my life!
It’s Thursday!! The days are passing by so quickly, I feel like I’m doing nothing, when in fact, I’m doing so much! We’re leaving Saturday for our week-long family reunion to Toronto and the check list of “Things-to-do” is getting checked off, all the while getting longer.
To get some time alone, yesterday the hubby and I decided to go watch a movie since we’ll be filled with family fun as of tonight (having some cousins stay over until Saturday). We ended up deciding on World War Z. It was gooooood, but maybe not as good as I expected? I love Brad Pitt, and he does a fine job as usual, I just felt the story line was a little, off. I’ve yet to read the book, but I would love to now after seeing the movie and hearing the reviews. Apparently, says people, the only thing the movie and book have in common is the title and the zombies. Have any of you read the book? Or have you seen the movie? What were your thoughts?
Now, to the outfit. I recently purchased my first pairs of sunglasses from ZeroUV, and I’m so satisfied! I won’t lie and say that I wasn’t scared about how the quality would be, considering the huge bulk of their frames are only $9.99! But I must say I am pleasantly surprised at how well they’re holding up! I know it’s only been days since I’ve had them, but I can already tell that they’ll hold on a lot better than a lot of my other “cheaper” frames. They look great, they feel great, and best of all, they’re priced great!!! The ones I’m wearing here are a pair of cat-eye ones I picked up. I absolutely love them!! They’re a unique frame that can really compliment so many types of styles. I’ll definitely be ordering from there again soon ;) (really digging these ones here!)
Now, excuse me as I must go hem some pants!! Have a wonderful Thursday and stay classy!
These heels are quite old, but soooo comfy!!If you can find a heel similar to this where it’s not ultra-high and just the right thickness, invest!! You’ll definitely be glad you did ;) Top: Zara, Shorts: Forever21, Shoes: Nine West, Sunglasses: ZeroUV
Looking for a new way to spice up your outfits this summer/fall? Something to replace a basic tee? Why not try out one of the hottest trends out there right now; graphic t-shirts. They’re literally popping up everywhere so don’t tell me you don’t know what I’m talking about ;)
We’ve got designers on end putting out their version of the perfect graphic tee. Comme Des Garcons, Maison Martin Margiela, and Burberry, to name a few, have all taken on this course of putting out some fine graphic prints. From shirts with writing, to animals, to just overall crazy prints, whatever you’re looking for, you’re sure to find it. If not, don’t worry, there are plenty of either online shops or pop-up stores that you can print on your own graphics. I for one am all down for this trend. As much as I love a plain tee, ones with pictures or writing always have a way of making your outfit that much more interesting. I love that you can take something so simple like an animal print tee, and make it look perfect and not childish (Aimee from songofstyle does it perfect here!).
How do you feel about this trend? Have you already jumped on board, or are you still looking into it? I’m definitely planning on getting out there and looking for a few myself. Although, I should really just go through my own closet first because I know for a fact I’ve got a few awesome ones lying around. I’ll make sure to dig them up and do some posts on them! Until then, here are a few styles I’ve chosen that I think would fit perfectly in my closet.
Have a wonderful rest of your Friday, Realists, a beautiful weekend, and stay classy!
After spending all day Saturday soaking up the sun on the beach, we felt that Sunday should be a chill one relaxing at home during the early day until my family came over for some supper and board games (a little Sunday tradition!). The only moment we had to step out of the house was to head on over to the grocery store for some food shopping. That [luckily] did not require me to get too dressy.
I find this t-shirt to be perfect! From the fit to the fabric, it’s definitely one of my fav’s! I received this as a gift a little over a year ago from one of the hubby’s cousins. I actually told her to buy it for me so that I could pay her back, but as sneaky as she is, turned it into a Christmas gift. Rebecca, thanks again for this awesome tee! Still wearing it and loving it! :)
I feel like most of my posts lately have been of me in shorts. I have mentioned many times that I do love a great pair of shorts, but I thought I’d give you something different by pairing the tee with a skirt. You’ve seen it before here, but I find the t-shirt gives it a different look. A little bit of a sportier vibe. I should’ve/would’ve paired this all with a pair of Converse, but my sandals were already by the door waiting for me. Next time! ;)
Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday, and stay classy!

Realists, I’m finally feeling a little more like myself and my coughing attacks are now only coming seldom at night (not that that’s a great thing, but at least I’m not scaring people off during the day). The weather is also finally continuing to feel more and more like summer, which is an added bonus to my feeling better!
As I’ve mentioned previously here, I do love my shorts, and these draw-string shorts are one of my favorites. The material is so soft and comfy, and I love the looseness of them. A great pair of shorts like this looks awesome paired with a tighter, tucked in top, or a looser top as I’m wearing here. We all know how versatility is key, and these shorts fit right in that category!
Guess what? It’s Friday!!! Hope you all have a lovely day and an awesome weekend!! Be safe and stay classy!

If you’ve been following me for a while now, you would know that I’m far from American, but I do have family, friends & readers who are, so I thought I would put together a little 4th of July outfit to help celebrate!
If I were taking part in this national holiday, this is an outfit that represents the country, without being too literal. You can always be passionate about what you’re dressing for, it’s just always good to keep in mind not to be “crazy” ;)
To all my fellow Americans, have an enjoyable 4th of July, and to all my Realists, stay classy!
P.s. Please don’t mind all the scratches and bruises. Those are all the after-effects from the race ;)

Ok, I’m convinced mother nature is bi-polar…Monday, I’m wearing shorts and a tank, and yesterday, back to jeans and a cardigan. So far, summer hasn’t been consistent around here, so I’m just crossing my fingers that the nicer weather that’s coming today, will be staying with us!
Because of the rain outside, I opted for taking pictures indoors. As for the outfit, I was in a camo kind of mood, and to spice it up a little, I paired these jeans with a striped cardigan. I also thought I’d go for something a little different by wearing this beanie I received as a gift quite a while ago. Honestly (and I’d like to apologize to my sister for this), I don’t think I’ve ever really worn this hat before…but I’m happy I finally decided to break it out!! It adds a little subtle interest to an overall casual outfit.
Have a lovely rest of your day, Realists, and join me in crossing our fingers for warmer weather! Stay classy!
