DIY; Juice Cleanse

Realists, today I’ll be introducing a new kind of DIY; a homemade 3-day juice cleanse. As much as this is a fashion blog, just like my Breaking Bad post, I do like to write about everyday events that are on my mind, and this juice cleanse being one that I’d love to share!

It’s quite funny because I’m actually quite skeptical when it comes to these 3-day cleanses. I mean, I can hardly go 3 hours without eating, imagine 3 days! But I’ve been convinced enough to want to try it out. We recently invested in a juicer, and have been using it everyday since we received it. After doing much research on juicing, I then also felt that it was best if the hubby and I made our juices from scratch for the 3 days.

I’ll actually be using recipes from a blog called “…and her little dog too”. After reading many juice recipes, I stumbled across hers and really loved the way she laid everything out and enjoyed reading the experience she had with it (plus, I believe she has the same juicer as us :P) Today I’ll be starting the cleanse, so tomorrow I will have up all the pictures/recipes to make the juices for this cleanse!

Have any of you ever taken on one of these juice cleanses? Would you? I’m not going to lie, I still think it’s a little crazy, but hey! We’ve gotta live a little and try new things :P So don’t forget to read daily about my process, and if you’re up for it, you can start your own cleanse with me!

Have a wonderful Tuesday, and stay classy!

First night in New York

SONY DSCSONY DSC

Welcome to the beginning of my New York story!

Yesterday was a day full of driving (hence the no-post), and when we finally made it here, we decided to start our trip off with an amazing supper at none other than Sushi Samba. I’ve always only eaten at the one in Vegas, and was so excited to find out they had one here as well. Tasty a-la-max!

Now, any other time I would’ve worn heels to go out because, well, I love to wear heels! Knowing that we were going to be walking to the restaurant and back (about a half-hour walk), I felt that, in this case, flats were my best bet. At least they’re sparkly!! :D Paired with this loose, sheer skirt, made by none-other than moi! I made this skirt during the winter and have been waiting forever to be able to sport it outside of the house. Nice supper means perfect opportunity to pull it out!

I’ll be back tomorrow with the continuation of this trip, so read on and stay classy ;)

Muscle Tank; The finale!

SONY DSC

Today is the finale of our “DIY muscle tank” outfit combos. We had casual/chic, then I gave you sporty, yesterday was full of clean and sharp details, and today, I give to you something that is pretty much expected of a rocker tee…an everyday, grungish look! Something I would definitely wear to a concert, or just strolling around doing some shopping.

A pair of jean shorts, some black high-knee socks, a striped cardigan, all topped off with the ultimate cherry; a classic pair of black Chucks. Comfy, cute, and can really be worn all day, everyday. This whole outfit makes me feel like a teenager again ;)

And there you have it! The conclusion to this weeks DIY! One shirt, 4 ways. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. Did anyone jump on board with me during this? If so, I would love to hear about how you styled, or would style your own muscle tee! While on this note, I would also love to bring you some more DIY’s in the future! Realists, any suggestions?? I’m very interested to know what you would like to see next! Until the next post, as always, muscle tee or not, stay classy ;)

DIY: Muscle Tank

Hello everyone!! Excuse me for being on hiatus for a little over a week, but I had a crazy week. Fear not, my friends, for I am back and at full force!! And what better way to start back then with a little something I’ve yet to do on the blog; DIY muscle tank!

I am a huge lover of a great muscle tank, and I am also guilty of owning way too many concert tees from way back. Although, I did have to get rid of a few (It was becoming borderline hoarding!), I did manage to keep a good amount for myself. So, for you today, I have a step-by-step on how to get a pretty bad-ass rocker-muscle-tee. Don’t worry, this can be done with any ol’ plain shirt you have sitting around!

Step 1:

SONY DSC

First off, you want to get all your materials together. One shirt, a pair of scissors, and a few pins

Step 2:

What I did was put the shirt on and then proceeded to put pins where I wanted to cut from (shoulder width, and how low)

Step 3:

Let the cutting begin! To make it a little easier, start by folding the shirt in half and then cut so you can make sure it’s even

Step 4:

Ta-da! Now, you’ve got yourself an awesome muscle tee! Don’t forget to always try it back on and make sure the shape is to your liking :)

Easy as 1-2-3! So simple, yet can be paired in so many ways! Not sure exactly how?? Don’t worry that’s where I come in! For the remainder of this week, I will be pairing this exact shirt with 4 different outfits, let it be casual, girly, or even a little more classy! So don’t forget to check in daily to get a few tips on how to pair your DIY muscle tee! Until tomorrows outfit, stay classy, realists! ;)
