My Little Pony

As I showed on a sneak peek in my previous post here, I finally got my hair did. It’s my first time experiencing with pastel colors, so I must admit that I wasn’t too fond of it at the beginning. I’m so used to bright colors that the pastel chalkness going on in my hair was throwing me off. I’m happy to say about 2 weeks and many compliments later, I am absolutely in love with it!!! It’s a very different look from what I’m used to, and again as I mentioned previously, it’s nice to get out of your box at times and try new things :)

Have you recently stepped out of your box and tried something new? Comment below, you know I love to read what all you Realists have to say! Have an awesome day and stay classy!

Lace Playsuit

Afternoon/evening, fellow Realists! Happy Tuesday!

As you can see, it’s been a little bit of a challenge to be able to post as frequently as I used to. Having to balance family, our house, and now my new job, I’m still working on getting it all together so that I can get back to writing daily posts, or at least 4 days/week ;)

Since it’s official that there’s no turning back to warm weather for the next few months, adding tights/stockings to summer favorites are pretty much the best way to make your items fall friendly. When I first saw this playsuit make its way into the store, I instantly had a connection to it. Funny thing, I thought it was a dress at first, and after finding out it was actually a romper (if you’ve been following me for a while now, you can understand my love for shorts), I needed it even more. It’s interesting because this is actually not a piece I would usually see myself in, but it’s always nice to try on new pieces and step out of your box of comfort :)

What tips do you have on transitioning your summer favorites fall/winter friendly? Stay warm, Realists, and stay classy!

Plaid, Leather & Booties

SONY DSC

Wow. What a bad blogger I’ve been. I don’t even know how I’ve stayed away for a little over 2 weeks, and I apologize. My days have been so hectic with starting my new job, along with my family life. I am back, though!! And better than ever ;) BUT, and an unfortunate but, due to our lovely Montreal weather, *insert sarcasm here*, outfit photos will have to begin being taken indoors. Yes, I know the lighting and scenery is clearly better outdoors, but I would rather a blank wall to accompany my outfit rather then a cold :P I’ll try to get as many pictures out of the house as I can, but for the meantime, please enjoy my grey wall.

As I’ve mentioned previously, I’ve been hunting for perfect booties that would fit my style, as well as my wallet. I was thrilled when I came across these booties while setting up the shoe stock room. They’re perfect, as they can be worn with a dress or jeans, and the heel is high enough for some height, and low enough to be worn at work.

Are you a fan of fall fashion, or do you long for the days of shorts & ice cream? Do tell!! Have an enjoyable day and stay classy!

SONY DSCYes, another plaid shirt to go with the one I featured on my week of style here (and here, here, here :P)

SONY DSCThe gold plate on these heels is what really caught my eye. I’ve always mentioned how much I love simple items with that added touch, and these booties fall right into that category.

What I wish I was wearing…

Realists, I’m still alive and kickin’! And trust me, I haven’t forgotten about all you lovelies out there. I mentioned several posts ago that I started working at TopShop, and this past week, my schedule has been all over the place. I even had to cancel my much needed hair appointment I mentioned about here :(. Just trying to get everything in order and on schedule, but ’tis a new week and  I’ll be sure to bring posts daily!

As a result of no time, no pictures have been taken. So for now, I give to you an outfit I would love to be wearing right now. The Balmain leather pants I posted are perfection, and I’ve been in love with those Anine Bing booties since I first laid eyes on them. How do you feel about a fall outfit like so? Something you can see yourself in, or have you already put this together?

Monday is here and a new week has begun! Have a wonderful one, and stay classy!

What I wish I was wearing...
River Island chunky chain necklace, $20 / Ray-Ban sunglasses. $220 / Paul Smith jacket, $1300 / Balmain snap pants, $4,080 / Club Monaco t shirt. $56 / Anine Bing ankle booties, $720 / Celine Trapeze Handbag

Ankle Booties

Fall is here and taking over any little heat we thought we had left. Time to put away our opened-toe shoes and pull out our socks again because we gotta keep our little toes warm.

There’s so many ways to keep our feet warm and stylish when it comes to fall fashion. You’ve got knee boots, over-the-knee boots, sneakers, combat boots, etc., but one trend being seen alongside all that’s been mentioned is the ankle boot. This type of footwear keeps your feet warm, all the while still staying on current fashion with showing a little ankle.

I myself have many pairs of shoes, but I must say, most of them are pretty much only summer-friendly. I’m currently shopping around for a great fall boot within my budget. One comfortable enough for everyday, and of course, one with a high heel ;)

Realists, have you invested in any ankle booties this fall? Or are you like myself and still shopping around? Below, I’ve posted up a few styles, with and without heels, to help give you some inspiration. Now, start shopping!!

Have a great Monday and stay classy.

Ankle Booties
Sergio Rossi ankle booties, $940 / Modcloth Laced up ankle boots, $46 / Rag & Bone heel booties, $510 / Sam Edelman beige suede boots, $165 / MICHAEL Michael Kors heel booties, $200 / Topshop ankle booties, $78 / H&M ankle booties, $41 / Report boots, $72 / Acne Studios ankle booties, $575

A 2-year old’s birthday!

This weekend was quite hectic for the hubby and I. On both Saturday and Sunday, we were busy preparing the house for the celebration of our 2-year old daughter’s birthday. Why 2 days? Well, on Saturday we celebrate the day with our close friends, and on Sunday, the family comes over. The reasoning behind holding two separate parties is that unfortunately, our house can’t hold 40 people at one time. Also, I think my super Greek mother and grand-mother would not be pleased to have to share their grand-daughters with a crowd of friends.

Today, I give you outfit number 1. Easy, cute, and versatile enough to run around the house, making sure everyone is continuously eating (the Greek in me), along with checking up on the kids and their shenanigans. Make sure to check in tomorrow to see outfit number 2!

Stay classy, realists! ;)

“Winter, winter, go away. Spring must come so we can play!”

Over here in Montreal, it’s starting to get somewhat nicer…yes, I do realize it had just snowed about 10cm the day before yesterday, but today is shining bright with sun and is a whopping 3 degrees! Come at me spring! I’m so ready for you! On that note, I decided today I would post an outfit with a bold piece hyping me up for the warm weather. Enter the hot pink pants!

I stand true to the rule of “no white pants during winter”, reason being, why would you want to walk around with the high chance of getting slush all over your pristine, white pants? I mean, It’s hard enough to keep white clean during the summer, let alone days where cars are driving by you, not giving two sh*ts if you’re casually walking on the side-walk …damn those drivers…

Anyways, sidetracked ;) But yes, throughout winter, I feel the same way about colored pants as I do white. Obviously, that’s just me, but I prefer to keep my pants dark and brighten my days with other pieces, such as sweaters, scarves, hats, etc. Now, considering I’ve had enough of winter, and as mentioned, the weather is somewhat warming up, I assured myself that it was in my favour to pull out the pink pants. I chose to pair them with a neutral, beige top. The feature that drew me to this top most was that it reminded me of an awesome 80’s mullet; business in the front, party in the back! How can you go wrong with that? Paired with simple black booties, topped off with some gold arm candy, and voila! My “I can’t wait for spring to arrive” outfit!

Dear readers, do you have any spring pieces you can’t wait to pull out?? Or already have? ;) What’s your take on white/colored denim during snowy days? I’d love to hear what you think! Until next time, peace out, fashionistas! :)
