My Little Pony

As I showed on a sneak peek in my previous post here, I finally got my hair did. It’s my first time experiencing with pastel colors, so I must admit that I wasn’t too fond of it at the beginning. I’m so used to bright colors that the pastel chalkness going on in my hair was throwing me off. I’m happy to say about 2 weeks and many compliments later, I am absolutely in love with it!!! It’s a very different look from what I’m used to, and again as I mentioned previously, it’s nice to get out of your box at times and try new things :)

Have you recently stepped out of your box and tried something new? Comment below, you know I love to read what all you Realists have to say! Have an awesome day and stay classy!

Diamond Cut-out Shirt

Welcome back to the real world, Realists, as it is once again Monday! A fresh new start to another week. I’m hoping you all had a great weekend!

Yesterday was a pretty chill day as we didn’t have too much going on. Pick up the girls from the in-laws, enjoy some yummy home-made pho, and head on back home for a little “Funday Sunday” with my family (Funday Sunday = boardgames, food, drinks, and more food). I could’ve easily thrown on some Converse and out the door I go, but I thought “Meh, why not!” and decided to pull out these ankle-strap heels of mine to add a little more character to an otherwise simple outfit.

I fell in love with this top the second I saw it. I’m all for a simple, white tee, but, a simple white tee with  diamond cut-outs in the back? Yes, please! All me right there ;) And you can always spice up this top some more by adding a great statement necklace like this one here or here (I love both of these).

Open-back shirts, are they a yes or no for you? Do tell! Have a wonderful Monday, and stay classy!

Wide-leg Jeans

SONY DSC

Aaaaaaaaand it’s cold again…why, Mother Nature, why??

Ok, it’s not cooooold, but it’s nowhere near as warm as it was this past weekend! Which results in me having to pull out jeans again, along with some type of sweater. In this case, 3/4 sleeves work perfect.

I bought these jeans years ago in New York, but can’t let go of them. They’re not a pair I run to often, but I do love great, wide-leg jeans. Scratch that, I love wide-leg pants in general (here I’m wearing a great linen pair I love)!! I find they have such a chic quality to them, especially when in a softer, trouser fabric. And to brighten up this outfit just a wee bit, even if they are mostly hidden under my jeans, I paired this all with some bright yellow peep-toe wedges.

Dear Realists, hope you have a lovely hump-day. The weekend is just around the corner! Stay classy!

Color & Stripes

Hello, Realists! First off, I would just like to apologize for my absence yesterday. After going grocery shopping in the morning, I came home to no electricity! Which meant, no internet, ending in, no posts. But I’m back, and hope you had a lovely weekend!

Montreal this weekend was quite gorgeous. We did have those nasty spells of thunder and rain, but luckily for us, the best hours of the day were nothing but sunshine!!

When it comes to warm weather, one of our favorite pastimes is spending the day at La Rondea great amusement park we’re lucky to have here. As a teenager, I would go almost every weekend with friends. Now that my girls are old enough, and seeing as how they take after me and LOVE going on all the rides (as opposed to the husband who gets a headache just looking at them!), we make it a point to bring them here as often as we can.

Now, amusement parks don’t mean you have to wear sweat-shorts and running shoes. I still like to casually dress up, all the while still staying comfy and sporting an outfit I can easily move around in. Here I am wearing some bright orange shorts, (that I scored in Vegas from Banana Republic for $10!), paired with a striped tube top (no, I wasn’t scared that my top would fall. Kids’ rides really don’t go that fast, and I can get a better tan ;)). At first, I was going to put on a brown belt, and then felt like brightening up my outfit a little more with a mint green belt. Those added touches ;)

Hope you all had a lovely beginning of the week! Stay Classy.
