3 Outfits for a Chilly/Rainy F1 Weekend

This weekend in Montreal, it’s all about the F1 Canadian Grand Prix. Race car drivers have been circling the laps of our Circuit Gilles Villeneuve  race track since 1978, so you can say to us Montrealers, it’s basically become a holiday. The streets are full of fancy cars, our top restaurants are booked way in advance, the clubs are popping with partiers galore, and of course, there are beautiful women everywhere.

The weather is usually quite fair, but this weekend we are experiencing some chillier than usual air. There is also some spurts of rain throughout the days, but that doesn’t stop us from being able to enjoy this once-a-year racing extravaganza. It also doesn’t prevent us stylish Montrealers to dress to impress! Here, I’ve featured 3 different ensembles that’s suitable for the weather, as well as the occasion. 1st, we have the casual day outfit, 2nd, the racing outfit, and 3rd, the night time outfit!

Will you be joining in on the F1 festivities? If so, are you a local or visiting? And if you’re visiting, is this your first experience? Clearly, I love to ask questions, which means I love to hear your thoughts and comments!!

Have a wonderful Friday, and amazing weekend. Stay classy and race on!

The Remaining of NY Summed Up

Back in good ol’ Montreal…where the weather right now is a little rainy, but looks like it’ll get better by the weekend! Lucky for us, the day we left New York, the weather there was also gloomy and raining, which was fine since our previous days were quite sunny and nice.

There are only so many pictures, but let me tell you, we did have a great time! I haven’t walked so much in quite a while, so it felt nice to just be able to do that (even though our legs were KILLING by the next day :P). As I mentioned in my last post what we were planning on doing, we spent a good amount of our Saturday strolling through the MET. The exhibit I wanted to see most was the Punk: From Chaos to Couture. What an exhibit! The fashions that were displayed were phenomenal and it was so exciting to see all these different designers’ outfits. Such art! If you’re in the area, or are heading there soon, go check it out! It’s really something, along with the many other exhibits going on there, that shouldn’t be missed!

Now that my vacation fun is over (Vegas & New York), expect daily posts coming your way! I’m hoping to incorporate some other types of posts (i.e. recipes, fitness, diy, etc) so if any of you have any suggestions on what you would like to read, throw them my way! Like I always mention, I love to hear your thoughts! Until next time, stay classy realists ;)

Clutch me good!

Spring/summer are, in my opinion, the perfect seasons to show off your most coveted accessories. With no jackets, sweaters, and for the most part, pants to cover you up, everyone and their mom can see what pieces you are using to accent your outfits. I personally am a huge fan of a good clutch! I know this type of bag is not for everybody, but I much prefer carrying one of these bad boys around. It adds a whole lot to your ensemble for the day!

This season, there are so many arrays of styles to choose from. Let it be snakeskin, leather, or even that bad-ass Chanel lego clutch, you name it, you’ll find it!! I’ve put together a collage of some clutches I wouldn’t mind owning ;) Also, just below, I’ve posted a picture of 3 of my favorite clutches at the moment. I’m hoping to add new favorites very soon!

What are your thoughts on a clutch? Are you in love with them as much as I am, or do you prefer to carry around a different style of bag? Love to hear your thoughts! As always, stay classy ;)

Another dress, another sweater

This weekend’s Saturday wasn’t a fancy one, so I decided to wear an outfit that was comfortable enough to take care of the kids during the day, but still looked fashionable for a Saturday night with the hubby.

Montreal is finally beginning to feel a little more “springy”. Sun is shining, snow is melting, and more and more people are strolling outdoors. As nice as the weather is, there were some chilling winds that Saturday which kept us staying mostly indoors. We had lunch at Boston Pizza, which was quite good and VERY kid friendly. Then after lunch, we dropped off the girls for their usual sleep over party at yiayia & papou’s (grandma & grandpa). After the girls were dropped off, we decided to go downtown to catch a movie followed by some yummy sushi for dinner.

On my previous post about second winter, I paired a loose sweater over my dress to keep me a little warmer. On Saturday, I went the same route, except this time, with a cardigan. Accompanied by my trusty knee boots. I was warm, comfy, and would like to think I still looked good ;)

How did you spend your weekend? Anything special, or just another day? No matter what you did, I’m sure you were classy as always ;)

P.s. Olympus Has Fallen. Great movie!! Definitely one to check out!! I mean, anything Gerald Butler’s in automatically makes it worth my while :P

Black & white & chic all over!

Black and white, one of my most admired color, let me re-phrase that, “shade” combinations put together. Frankly, I for one am not always into what the “trends of the moment” are, but lucky for me, black and white is one of the, if not the, top trend to watch for this spring.

We’ve got 60’s inspo over at Prada, classic tuxes at Saint Laurent, and major graphics at Marc Jacobs. If anybody knows trends, it’s these guys, so if they say black and white for spring ’13, then there’s no complaining on my end! Beginning of March, still snow on the ground, that’s ok! Spring officially “starts” on the 20th, but who says we can’t put together a little b&w beforehand? C’mon ladies, show ’em what you got! Strut those black, leather, skater skirts! Pair them with a classic button-down, white ruffle shirt. Throw on a wide-brimmed black hat and a pair of ultra-high black sleek pumps! You’re now ready for a chic walk around downtown New York. Just always remember, don’t fall into just being “trendy”, be you!

Here’s a collage of several pieces that I believe are appropriate. Take a look and let me know what you think! I would also love to hear what pieces you will be adding to your black and white collection this spring.

Until next time, stay classy, realists ;)
