Yesterday the weather was not very pleasing. The day before we had gorgeous sun and 29+ degree weather. Yesterday it was raining like mad, and very, very sticky.
The ensemble I’ve put together for your viewing pleasure is in no way even close to the one I was sporting yesterday. Unfortunately for only myself, what I was wearing was not storm appropriate, which then resulted in me stepping into an ankle deep puddle coming out with soaking, wet feet. Sexy.
No, here I have for you what would’ve been appropriate for a weather like yesterday. Since it was raining, but also still very hot and sticky, you would need something that will not only keep you dry, but also comfortable. Rain boots and a skater skirt is always a cute, and weather appropriate outfit to fall on. Paired with a simple, white tee and a rain jacket, you’ve got something to shield yourself from mother nature, all the while still looking like you tried. Not raining but still got your jacket?? You can easily take part in one of the hottest trends right now and tie it around your waist!
What’s your idea of a perfect rain-to-sun outfit? Something like the one I posted, or is it completely different? I’d love to know so comment below ;)
It’s Friday, Realists! Have a great rest of the day and a fabulous weekend. Stay classy!
I can’t help it. I’m such a typical mom when it comes to taking pictures of my girls and wanting to show them off. As hard as I try not to, because, you know, those people can get a little “too much” with it, I couldn’t not take any pictures yesterday to post about them today.
Once again, I had nothing to do with whatever fashion choices they made that day. It’s all whatever their little brains wanted them to put together, Mardi Gras beads and all. They’re clearly too cool for daycare ;)
Seriously, as much as we all complain that the weekends always come to an end and we have to begin all over again on Monday, days go by so fast!! It’s Wednesday already! Happy hump day, and stay classy!
So strong! ;)

98…99…100!! Realists, I’ve made it to my 100th post! To those following since the beginning, thanks for sticking with me! And to all new followers, hope you’re enjoying yourselves ;)
Do you ever get those moments where you just feel like nothing in your closet will do? Not one article of clothing will help bring out your personality, but rather, hide it? That was me yesterday. I just felt like there was nothing hanging or folded that was going to make me happy. I’m in the process of revamping my wardrobe (I’ve been in a non-shopping rut for about 4-5 years because of being pregnant back-to-back and not fitting into anything) to how I feel today, so I have clothing that I feel good in, just wasn’t “feeling” it. Outfit change after outfit change just to go have lunch and then go grocery shopping *sigh*.
Finally! I settled on this romper that you’ve seen featured here, but as a night-time outfit. Today I show you how you can take an outfit that was worn for a night out clubbing in Vegas, to a run-around, grocery shopping ensemble. Seriously, Converse make any outfit day-time appropriate.
Do you ever go through days/nights like the one I went through yesterday? How do you usually get out of it? Would love to hear your tips and tricks.
Have a wonderful day and stay classy!
Yay to 100!

Welcome back to the real world, Realists, as it is once again Monday! A fresh new start to another week. I’m hoping you all had a great weekend!
Yesterday was a pretty chill day as we didn’t have too much going on. Pick up the girls from the in-laws, enjoy some yummy home-made pho, and head on back home for a little “Funday Sunday” with my family (Funday Sunday = boardgames, food, drinks, and more food). I could’ve easily thrown on some Converse and out the door I go, but I thought “Meh, why not!” and decided to pull out these ankle-strap heels of mine to add a little more character to an otherwise simple outfit.
I fell in love with this top the second I saw it. I’m all for a simple, white tee, but, a simple white tee with diamond cut-outs in the back? Yes, please! All me right there ;) And you can always spice up this top some more by adding a great statement necklace like this one here or here (I love both of these).
Open-back shirts, are they a yes or no for you? Do tell! Have a wonderful Monday, and stay classy!

As fall is slowly creeping it’s way upon us, we now [unfortunately] have to start looking into transforming our wardrobe from summer (goodbye slinky tops & comfy shorts) and bring on some cooler fall clothing (hello tailored pants & over-sized sweaters). Among many of the upcoming trends we have to look forward to, the one I’m most excited about is the highly coveted moto jacket. Actually, I’m quite excited about a great motorcycle jacket every spring/fall because they never really go out of style! A great investment piece, and you know that it’s something you’ll hold onto for a while and not end up looking at it a couple of seasons down the road and think “I wore that??”.
Over-sized, tailored, cropped, leather, denim, cotton, the possibilities go on and on! It’s now just about finding the right one (or two, or three…) for you! I [surprisingly] don’t own any moto jackets at the moment, but I’m definitely on the hunt for one, especially seeing as how Montreal this summer looks like it’s unfortunately coming to an end soon :( Below, I’ve put together a few different styles for you to browse through. I’m personally really loving the 3.1 Phillip Lim, which one’s your favorite?
Do you own any moto jackets? Or are you on the hunt for one now? Well, Realists, it’s Friday! Which means tomorrow’s the weekend, and if you’re free, you’ve got a good few hours to start looking for one ;) Have a great Friday, a lovely weekend, happy shopping, and stay classy!

My number one go-to outfit that can really work at almost any occasion has to be skinnies and a loose top. Going out to lunch, supper, friend’s house, movies, shopping, the list goes on and on! As long as your pants fit and you’ve got no muffin-top going on, this ensemble is crazy comfy!
Here, I paired one of my all-time favorite skinnies along with a striped casual-dress shirt. Simple together, but add in some killer heels and a chunky gold bracelet, and you’ve got a sleek and cool outfit without even trying. Pair this outfit with some Converse and you’ve got yourself a comfy-chic outfit to stroll the markets in. I’m telling you, skinnies and a loose top = endless possibilities!
What’s your go-to outfit that never fails you? I’d love to hear about them! Have a great day, Realists, and stay classy!

Yesterday, after the girls were finished getting ready for daycare, I just stopped, looked at them, and thought “And I didn’t help you all today!” They both decided that they didn’t need my say in what they were going to wear for that day. As I mentioned in my 1st post about their style here, there are times where I’ll dress them up, but then, there are times like yesterday, where they’re too old to hear anything from me. They’re amazing in so many ways, and fashion knowledge is one of them :P
Wednesday’s here once again! Have a happy hump day and stay classy!
P.s. Apologies for the subtle blurriness. Kids don’t stand still very well :P

Wow. I’ve been gone for long. I know I said I would keep up with posts while I was away, but obviously things didn’t work out and I was just too busy (and having tons of fun) to post. Forgive me, Realists! I’m now back and won’t be leaving you again (at least not that I know of :P). I hope you all had a great last week and Monday!
I first saw this skirt on a friend of mine about a week and a half ago, and really fell in love with it. The fabric is such a soft cotton and the slit makes it that much sexier. While shopping in Toronto, I luckily came across the exact same skirt! Tried it on, and bought it instantly. It’s really one of those perfect, simple maxi skirts. Are you a fan of maxi skirts? Have any that stand out more than others (i.e. slits, patterns, fabric, etc.)? Do tell!
Have a wonderful Tuesday, Realists, and stay classy!

As much as I’m not a fan of pink (I can count on one hand using only 3 fingers the amount of pink pieces I own), I’m so in love with these pink suede heels. I think it’s the metal heel that drew me to them to begin with. That, and the hubby chose them out ;)
Last night we had a family supper, and to compliment the overall neutralness of my outfit, I paired together these heels. As I was sitting there debating between these pink heels and my red ankle strap heels (here & here) I obviously went with the pink. A pointy toed heel elongates your legs, and I was in the mood for some “elongating” ;)
Friday has come again! The weekend is here! Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend. Stay classy!
Just picked up this shirt from Zara (I swear, slowly my whole wardrobe will be only Zara!) and I’m loving it! So soft and the fit is amazing!

It’s Thursday!! The days are passing by so quickly, I feel like I’m doing nothing, when in fact, I’m doing so much! We’re leaving Saturday for our week-long family reunion to Toronto and the check list of “Things-to-do” is getting checked off, all the while getting longer.
To get some time alone, yesterday the hubby and I decided to go watch a movie since we’ll be filled with family fun as of tonight (having some cousins stay over until Saturday). We ended up deciding on World War Z. It was gooooood, but maybe not as good as I expected? I love Brad Pitt, and he does a fine job as usual, I just felt the story line was a little, off. I’ve yet to read the book, but I would love to now after seeing the movie and hearing the reviews. Apparently, says people, the only thing the movie and book have in common is the title and the zombies. Have any of you read the book? Or have you seen the movie? What were your thoughts?
Now, to the outfit. I recently purchased my first pairs of sunglasses from ZeroUV, and I’m so satisfied! I won’t lie and say that I wasn’t scared about how the quality would be, considering the huge bulk of their frames are only $9.99! But I must say I am pleasantly surprised at how well they’re holding up! I know it’s only been days since I’ve had them, but I can already tell that they’ll hold on a lot better than a lot of my other “cheaper” frames. They look great, they feel great, and best of all, they’re priced great!!! The ones I’m wearing here are a pair of cat-eye ones I picked up. I absolutely love them!! They’re a unique frame that can really compliment so many types of styles. I’ll definitely be ordering from there again soon ;) (really digging these ones here!)
Now, excuse me as I must go hem some pants!! Have a wonderful Thursday and stay classy!
These heels are quite old, but soooo comfy!!If you can find a heel similar to this where it’s not ultra-high and just the right thickness, invest!! You’ll definitely be glad you did ;) Top: Zara, Shorts: Forever21, Shoes: Nine West, Sunglasses: ZeroUV
