More colors than the rainbow!

Hello, my name is Katerina, and I’m a shoe-aholic…ok, a sunglass-aholic….alright, alright, really, I’m an accesory-aholic…In all seriousnes, I’m addicted to it all. C’mon ladies, and I’m sure many men, you feel me, right?? Apart from all of those amazing items to be addicted to, today I will be talking about my massive obsession with…..drumroll please….. NAIL POLISH!!

Yes, nail polish!! Oh, how I love that sweet, sweet smell of, I don’t even know how to describe it, while painting away my nights! Red, black, blue, yellow, any color you want, it’s been made, and better!! I adore a great, freshly painted set of nails. If you’re on the same boat as me, you understand exactly what I’m talking about. If not, please join!! You won’t regret it!

You’ve got on a great outfit, feeling like you’re a million bucks. Got yourself the perfect accessories, but wait, still feel like you can finish it off?? That’s where that little bit of added extra color comes in! I personally find that a great manicure is crucial at times to help polish off your attire (pun intended ;)). I know not everybody feels me on this one, but for the ones who do, I know you’re nodding your heads thinking “I feel ya, girl!”

On that note, please, step into my rainbow world of nail polish, and enjoy! Clutch me good!

Spring/summer are, in my opinion, the perfect seasons to show off your most coveted accessories. With no jackets, sweaters, and for the most part, pants to cover you up, everyone and their mom can see what pieces you are using to accent your outfits. I personally am a huge fan of a good clutch! I know this type of bag is not for everybody, but I much prefer carrying one of these bad boys around. It adds a whole lot to your ensemble for the day!

This season, there are so many arrays of styles to choose from. Let it be snakeskin, leather, or even that bad-ass Chanel lego clutch, you name it, you’ll find it!! I’ve put together a collage of some clutches I wouldn’t mind owning ;) Also, just below, I’ve posted a picture of 3 of my favorite clutches at the moment. I’m hoping to add new favorites very soon!

What are your thoughts on a clutch? Are you in love with them as much as I am, or do you prefer to carry around a different style of bag? Love to hear your thoughts! As always, stay classy ;)

Another dress, another sweater

This weekend’s Saturday wasn’t a fancy one, so I decided to wear an outfit that was comfortable enough to take care of the kids during the day, but still looked fashionable for a Saturday night with the hubby.

Montreal is finally beginning to feel a little more “springy”. Sun is shining, snow is melting, and more and more people are strolling outdoors. As nice as the weather is, there were some chilling winds that Saturday which kept us staying mostly indoors. We had lunch at Boston Pizza, which was quite good and VERY kid friendly. Then after lunch, we dropped off the girls for their usual sleep over party at yiayia & papou’s (grandma & grandpa). After the girls were dropped off, we decided to go downtown to catch a movie followed by some yummy sushi for dinner.

On my previous post about second winter, I paired a loose sweater over my dress to keep me a little warmer. On Saturday, I went the same route, except this time, with a cardigan. Accompanied by my trusty knee boots. I was warm, comfy, and would like to think I still looked good ;)

How did you spend your weekend? Anything special, or just another day? No matter what you did, I’m sure you were classy as always ;)

P.s. Olympus Has Fallen. Great movie!! Definitely one to check out!! I mean, anything Gerald Butler’s in automatically makes it worth my while :P

Spring? Oh…just “second winter”

SONY DSCYesterday was the first day of spring! Unfortunately, for us Montrealers, we had a 25cm snowfall the day before…Good times… You now what I say? Screw that, mother nature!! You can’t stop me from pulling out my spring wardrobe! I just have to tweak it a little and make it more “second winter” friendly ;)

So, here you go! A dress!! Paired with a comfy sweater, some stockings, and over-the-knee boots. An outfit that can be worn on many occasions; lunch, movie, or even strolling the mall. I just can’t wait until I can sport some dresses without having to cover my legs ;)

Wherever you are, how was your first day of spring? You do anything to celebrate? Or was it just as cold as it was for me? Love to hear your stories!

Until next time, stay classy realists ;)

Accessories for the avid traveller!

I was reading a post off of, and came across  this great passport cover from Flight 001. I’ve been on the hunt for a great passport cover for a while now. Trying to find a piece that I fancy, as well as something that’s affordable. I’m heading to Vegas and New York in May, so I need to start looking a little quicker!

The pieces that can be found on this site are great! They’ve got it all from luggage to waterbottles. Adapters to sporks. Browsing through this site, I’ve already found a few items that I wouldn’t mind picking up for myself and my husband ;) I know I don’t fly as much as he does, but when the rare occasion comes along, I know I will have those few items that I can’t wait to pull out! On the plus side, they don’t need to be used just for flying. Road trips, sleepovers, bus rides, whatever it is!! These are items that can be used for more than one occasion!

Here are a few pictures of pieces I found cool and worth it!!

Even when flying, remember readers, stay classy ;)

It’s green day!!

Another party at the girls’ daycare, another subject to post about! Last time, it was about hats. This time, the color green!

Green day! A way to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! As I was getting ready to choose an outfit for this particular setting, I then realized “I don’t think I own anything green!!!” Then lo and behold!! I found this shirt-dress that I literally haven’t worn since before getting pregnant with my first daughter. Now, that was almost 5 years ago. Nice to know that I can fit back into it ;)

The ballet flats that I’m sporting here are one of my absolute favs. I love that the tip is flat like a ballet shoe. Makes me feel like a ballerina, although, I know nothing about being one ;)

Do you own anything green? Or even fancy the color? Would love to hear about it.

As always, stay classy, realists ;)

Bikini season’s a-comin’!

It’s mid-march and we all know what that means. The snow is melting, the sun is shining, and unfortunately, it starts to smell like horse manure out there. I, for one, don’t mind the smell! Ok, I am opposed to the smell a little. For the most part, though, I’m not bothered much for the sole reason that smell of manure=warm weather!!

Now, with warm weather, comes vacations with beaches. Along with beaches, comes, you guessed it, bathing suits! I know we’re all shopping around, looking for the cutest suits we can find and making sure none of our friends own the same styles. If by chance one of your friends does have the same bathing suit as you, make sure you look better in it! ;) I’ve got a tip; search bandeau bikinis! They’re all the rage for this swim season. I can totally understand why! They’re so cute, fun, AND no tan lines from your straps! Awesome!

Here, dear realists, a collage of bandeau suits for you to gather some inspiration from. Or also to shop from :P

Enjoy, and stay classy ;)

Oh, Reddit…!

Yesterday, my oh-so-lovely husband decided to be funny and post a not-so-flattering picture of me on Reddit. The picture was one of the unchosen ones from my Sunday’s outfit for my daughter’s birthday. Now, while the picture of me is not the best angle, or anything for that matter, he decided to post it because it looked like I had alien antenna’s on my head. Not thinking he would get much traffic from it, the comments started pouring in! Positive comments? Quite the contrary…

Most of the comments were of random redditors saying that from the angle the picture was taken, I look like Skrillex… Now, at first, I must admit I was a little confused, until I studied the picture a little more. Skrillex indeed! Quite hilarious, actually, but hey! You can’t look perfect 24/7 ;) What I found most interesting, is that one of the users actually recognized me! Says we went to the same elementary school! The curiosity is killing me! If you read my blog, please let me know who you are! :)

You can view how it all went down here. I hope that if anybody who has commented on that post, has made their way to my blog and can see for themselves that I am most definitely NOT related to Skrillex ;)

As always, stay classy realists, and redditors ;)

And now, the infamous “Antennae’s meets Skrillex” picture!

A 2-year old’s birthday, part two! ;)

SONY DSCAs mentioned in yesterday’s post, we always have two separate birthday parties for the girls. Saturday’s outfit was more of a fun, cute, and flirty kind of look with the skater skirt and tights.

For Sunday’s look, since it was family, I decided to go a little more conservative. Nevertheless, it is as easy to run around in, cooking, cleaning, and chasing after the girls, as yesterdays outfit. My grand-parents are enamoured with the way I dress now, compared to my teenage years. Well, I guess to them, anything is better than black, on black, with some extra black, throw in TWO arms-full of spiked bracelets (but still today, I do add my own personal flare!). I must upload a picture for you realists one day soon!!

‘Till that day comes, stay classy realists! ;)

A 2-year old’s birthday!

This weekend was quite hectic for the hubby and I. On both Saturday and Sunday, we were busy preparing the house for the celebration of our 2-year old daughter’s birthday. Why 2 days? Well, on Saturday we celebrate the day with our close friends, and on Sunday, the family comes over. The reasoning behind holding two separate parties is that unfortunately, our house can’t hold 40 people at one time. Also, I think my super Greek mother and grand-mother would not be pleased to have to share their grand-daughters with a crowd of friends.

Today, I give you outfit number 1. Easy, cute, and versatile enough to run around the house, making sure everyone is continuously eating (the Greek in me), along with checking up on the kids and their shenanigans. Make sure to check in tomorrow to see outfit number 2!

Stay classy, realists! ;)
