First Impressions

My First post!! Here we go ;)

First impressions. Whether we like it or not, they matter. The world’s a judgemental place. This is why I like to live by my rule of never selling yourself short. You want to be that person who’s walking on the street, have someone look at you and remember you. We like to think that as long as you got the right clothes on, that’s all you need, but that’s not the case. You need the confidence to go with it. You don’t need expensive, brand-name clothing, you just need to know how to dress to impress, and how to carry it all together.

My goal here is to get my readers to feel the way I feel when I leave the house. I’m not saying that I always walk out in a ball gown with full-on make-up and accessories. You’d be surprised how one person decked out in the latest trends, can stand next to someone in just a plain white tee and skinny jeans, and have the more casual one stand out more. Its all in your persona. How you carry yourself. Whatever you have on, you have to make it work! Lounging around at home? Hanging in some pajamas? Make THOSE work! It’s a start! Make. It. Work. Three simple, yet oh so powerful words you should tell yourself every day before stepping out of the house. As mentioned, don’t ever sell yourself short. You never know who you’ll run in to, and you want to make sure that you’re comfortable with yourself and whatever you’re in. Now, I’m not saying to walk around with your nose in the air, snubbing everyone who crosses your path. Play it cool. You may think it’s silly, but trust me, it’ll don a new light on how you feel and how much more productive you can be.

As the great Oscar Wilde once mentioned;

“You can never be overdressed or overeducated”
